Ahhh!!! Miriam Haskell, sheer vintage costume jewelry bliss to my ears!!! I love Miriam Haskell, I mean I'm a HUGE Miriam Haskell fan and a huge collector of her vintage pieces. I study Haskell pieces in my spare time, the workmanship is undeniably genius, her marketing strategies were genius, and Frank Hess her business partner was a genius! How so many know about Chanel but not Miriam Haskell sometimes befuddles me, but I'll save my soap box for another day. It's Monday and it's time for the Haute Tramp Daily Jewel….obviously Miriam Haskell!!!!

{Daily Jewel} Miriam Haskell Aqua Glass Beaded Ball Cluster Parure, circa 1940

HASKELL Aqua Glass beads and clear rhinestone leaves parure including the ORIGINAL LARRY AUSTIN art work that illustrates it.

HASKELL Frank Hess designed aqua glass beads LARIAT wrap necklace with rhinestone pave silver tone leaves, 21″ long with 2″ clips on each end; NECKLACE with aqua glass bead balls and clear rhinestone leave, strung on cord, 15″ long and about 1-1/2″ wide; and four-strand BRACELET strung on elastic, 7″ total length and adjustable by about 1-1/2″ wide. These are made with aqua glass beads, some wired into balls, roses montees, and rhinestone-studded leaves and flowers.

In the early days of Haskell jewelry, when Frank Hess was the head designer, Haskell put no identifying marks on their jewelry. As a matter of fact, it was not marked at all until about 1947. Today the early unsigned pieces are recognized from the vintage art work and advertisements and by their wonderful detailing, hand work and design. This group is circa 1940

Below is a closer look at each of the pieces…..Drop Dead Gorgeous!!!
