Ahh, yes, the Har Cobra Parure, a truly coveted vintage costume jewelry collector’s dream! Making it this week’s Vintage Jewel Crave! What makes Har Jewelry so very collectible is that it was only in production from about 1955-1967. There is very little information on Har Jewelry so it has been shrouded in mystery for many years.
As I was reading through an article by Dotty Springfield for Illusion Jewels, I learned that the Har was owned by Hargo Creations in New York and founded by Joseph Heibronner & Edith Levitt in 1955. In addition I also learned that the Cobra Parure below was probably made in April of 1959. A nifty little piece of Vintage Costume Jewelry history if I do say so myself!!!
Anyhoo, Happy Friday and enjoy the vintage gorgeous!
